My New Daily Self-Care Products

The hardest part about working from home is balance, so self-care is a must. I am a firm believer that each part of your space has its own specific use. The bed is for sleeping, the kitchen for eating, and the living room for relaxing. However, working from home – especially in an apartment – can turn the entire space into an office.

A line must be drawn between work and personal life. This is where we insert daily self-care. Yes, daily. We deserve it. I recently picked up some new goodies from Target and Ulta to step up my self-care routine. I’ve been taking care of myself with a new shower jam, body sorbet, and face mask. I even take it up a notch with a fruity wax melt scent.

Each of these products has a sweet scent that transitions my space from an office to an aromatherapy suite. Honestly, I haven’t always been a shopper in the body shop sections, but I’ve been over the typical soap smell. Adding soothing scrubs and creams has turned my routine into a mini-spa evening. I never want to leave the shower now!

Give yourself the gift of aromatherapy and smooth skin with these fun goodies.

  1. Mango Shower Jam: To say this body wash is my jam (pun intended), is an understatement. I love the subtle smell that gives my body just a hint of sweetness. The shower jam has a body gel consistency, but suds up like regular soap when used. I mainly use the jam on my upper body to take in the aroma and do not use it as a regular soap.
  2. Pineapple Sorbet: Like the jam, the sorbet is really just a fancy product rename. Ulta’s pineapple sorbet is scented shea butter that effectively moisturizes and smoothens the skin. The scent is also not overly fragrant, which is perfect. I typically do not purchase scented lotions, but this product is not drying at all. I wish this product was available in smaller packaging to use as a travel hand cream.
  3. Manuka Honey & Tea Tree Oil Foaming Clay: I’ve used this product once a week for the past three weeks on my oily and semi-sensitive skin. My skin drys and flakes with strong skincare products, however, this mask has helped draw out any forming pimples and blackheads on my skin. I leave the mask on for 10 minutes and have yet to experience any irritation. Once rinsed, my skin feels instantly soft and smooth. This product is for clarifying and works great with oily skin.
  4. Plug-In Scent Warmer: If you know me, you know I’ve always been too nervous to light a real candle. Instead, I opt for warmers. I’ve been using plug-in scent warmers for the last year and the available wax scents are almost limitless. They’re also sold almost everywhere. This month I’ve been melting the strawberry mimosa scent; however, I’m patiently waiting to start purchasing some fall melts!
